Step 1: Install Prism Launcher
Download and install Prism Launcher for your operating system. Prism is a free, open-source Minecraft launcher that makes managing modpacks easy.
If you already have Prism installed, skip to Step 2.
Step 2: Download the modpack
Download the Cobblemon modpack file using the button below. Save it somewhere you can find it — your Downloads folder is fine.

- Open Prism Launcher
- Click the Add Instance button
- Select Import from the left sidebar
- Browse to the

- Once Minecraft opens, select Multiplayer
- Click Add Server
- Set the server name to whatever you like (e.g., "Cobbled Monsters")
- Set the server address to:
cobblemon.haven.stream - Click Done, then double-click the server to join
Step 5: Get whitelisted
Before you can join, you'll need to be whitelisted. Contact us on Discord with the phrase "drying pan" and your Minecraft username so we know you've read the server rules.
Optional: Enable resource packs
Once in-game, navigate to Options → Resource Packs and enable everything you want for the best experience. Some packs may say they are incompatible — they still work fine, so feel free to enable them.
Updating the modpack
When the modpack is updated, follow these steps:
Tip: Before updating, back up your
xaerofolders, distant horizonsfolder, andoptions.txtfrom your instance so you can restore them if needed.
- Download the newest modpack file using the download button above
- In Prism, right-click your Cobblemon instance and click Edit
- Select the Modrinth tab on the left
- Click Update From File and select the new file you downloaded
- Once updated, launch the instance
- In the Minecraft main menu (before joining a server), go to Options and re-select all resource packs you want to use
- Done — you're ready to rejoin the server
Known issues
- Spawn location bug: The starting spawn may place you on top of the spawn building instead of inside it. Make your way into the center of the building to read the in-game server rules, or read them here.
